shower pump
May 31st, 2010, 12:01pm

hello - please can you help.
We have a shower currently gravity fed with pathetic pressure. Boiler is a condenser type valliant - wih cyclinder and expansion tank in loft just above shower (hence bad pressure). I know the best system is to rip it all out and put in a mains system but for now want to put in a shower pump. Can anyone recommend a good pump for a single shower (downstairs shower works fine with gravity) - dont want to spend too much but equally dont want something cheap that breaks in 10 minutes.

thank you so much

You might find there is space in the attic to raise the cold storage tank on a suitable platform. Just 1 meter will give you 0.1 bar of extra pressure at all gravity fed outlets..
