Hi all,
my first post here - so hope you can help in my dilemma.
My mums hot water tank has started leaking pretty bad, so thinking obtaining a replacement would be fairly easy. the leaking tank is now out, the tank is a 900x450 direct vented copper cylinder. Only difference from the norm is that it has extra tappings for convection flow and return from an cold coal fired back boiler.
i don't seem to be able to get a cylinder identical to this anywhere. All available cylinders I can find at high street places and plumbers outlets combined are direct cylinders the correct size and capacity but with the following tappings.
1 - HW out, top of tank 2 - immersion element hole (at 45° at top of tank) 3 - what I would class as Cold water in at base of tank 4 - another 1" fitting roughly two thirds up the tank
In short all the tanks are short of one tapping for what I require (think an indirect cylinder with the holes for the coil but no actual coil)
Any help/advice immensely appreciated
Regards
Dave
