Worcestor Bosch danesmoor 32/50 oil boiler

Could anybody please help.
I have a Worcestor Bosch Danesmoor 32/50 oil boiler. Manufactured in 1996. Last week it started smoking a fair bit, the radiator temperature is much lower than normal.
The boiler now uses about 6 litres of oil for 1 hour run time on heat setting 3.
The boiler has been checked and serviced by a qualified engineer.
I was told that the baffles had gone and as replacements were no longer available the boiler was knackered.
The boiler was only checked 12 months ago by a different engineer who has now retired. I was told the the boiler was in very good condition.
Could anybody please help, as its rather cold now.

I would get another engineer to look at it that knows what he's doing.
Did he change the nozzle, check the air etc.
