camray 3 - oil leak and service
May 1st, 2011, 11:21am

Hi all

Ive recently had our camray 3 oil boiler serviced.  Before the service i had a small oil leak so thought id get that fixed at the same time.  After the service the leak has come back again, though this time seems to be more constant.  The leak seems to be coming from the 'riello' pump area

Im not sure what the service engineer was doing, but didnt seem to do much to the pump.  Is there a rubber seal in there that needs changing, and is this part of the service to check these?

Any help much appreciated

cheers

He should have checked the burners pressure, and cleaned the combustion chamber, as well as check the nozzle etc.

I would get him/her back.

They would of visually checked for leaks, esp if you mentioned that you thought you had a leak, but would not have taken the oil pump assembly apart other than perhaps the filter in addition to what thescruff has already mentioned
