BT VERSATILITY SETUP PROBLEM
Dec 13th, 2011, 3:24pm

Hello All!
Newbie to this forum!

I have installed a BT Versatility syetem on 2 x Isdn lines (giving me 4 channels) with one BT V8 Feature phone and 4 x 325 handsets.  As there are only 3 to 4 people in the office (on and off) as we leave our desks we have been taking our phones off the hook thinking this will give callers a busy tone.  Apparently, they get a ring tone instead which is not what I'm after - I just need the busy tone.  I have just set a simple ring group which is fine.  Does anyone know how I can set engaged on busy at all handsets?

Yep, thats it, so long as your ring group only contains the extensions you use (if you leave non-conected extensions in the ring group, the reject will not be inforced).

Can someone help me? I have ten extensions on a Versitility System, all of which are V8 feature phones. Last night one of them started to show the message ISDN SERVICES instead of the normal menu. Now non of the buttons on the phone will work, no lines, no dialing tone and underneath this message is EXIT pointing to the first of the three buttons on the left hand side but when you press it nothing happens. Can anyone help me?

Is it extension 20?

If it appears to have locked up, I would be tempted to do a warm restart.  Under the top flap of the CCU you will see a small round button on a square base.  Press this and then wait 3 or 4 minutes.

I'm really sorry if this sounds dim but does the CCU stand for Central Control Unit? Is this the black box which is on the wall? I've had a look and I cant seem to see a flat on it anywhere?

yes its all working fine - just that one extension. I've tried to find the flap but there doesn't seem to be one so I'm assuming you mean remove the front/top panel ... where the CCU is located this isn't going to be an easy job so I might just wait until Monday and get an engineer in!

...

The cover with the logo on will lift upwards on a hinge, the reset button is inside this on the PCB.
