Meter Tails in Cavity
Feb 10th, 2013, 11:23pm

Hi

Will be getting the meter moved to an external cabinet by the DNO.

The consumer unit is getting moved to the internal side of the same wall and will be approx 1.0 - 1.5 meters above - this will likely happen beforehand so a temporary set of tails will run to the new location from the otherside of the room (current meter location).

Plan was to run the meter tails & CPC in the cavity - this already has blown in rockwool insulation. What is the best way to protect tails within the cavity.

I'm guessing I will need some 32mm conduit - is plastic sufficient or do I need some pliable plastic coated stuff (Kopex) and then coming into the rear of the consumer unit through the wall.

Any thoughts/recommendations ?

Many Thanks

Gary
