Is it possible to fit some type of back draught shutter that's if they are available on their own?

Through a decent thickness wall? Back draft shutters are available to put inline in the duct. First google result I found: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/251193552865?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&lpid=95&... Expect Screwfix have them.
