Nov 30th, 2013, 1:27pm

hi there noob here i am having problems with my baxi 105E which main one is DHW runs cold when the CH is on i have had a new diverter valve fitted which works fine but didnt cure the prolem and i have changed the plate heat exchanger which didnt cure the problem i think its to do with heat expansion somewhere in the boiler as when the CH has been off fow 10 mins the DHW is fine
could any one advise what they think may be causing this
many thanks in advance

Hi,

Th4e diverter should cut the heating off when you run hot water.

Have you checked you're not getting a backflow though a shower or mixer tap

Turn off the cold supply into the boiler.  If your hot taps still flow a bit, you have some cold water back flowing from a mixer tap or shower mixer etc.
