Changing immersion heater control unit
Jan 23rd, 2014, 2:57pm

I need to change the immersion heater timer control as the current one doesn't have a boost button and I need one. I am wanting to add the unit below.

http://www.horstmann.co.uk/downloads/ElectronicDocuments/Electric-Water-Heating/...

In these instructions it says link terminals 4 and 5 when using a single immersion heater.   What does that mean?  Assuming I have Live Out going from either Terminal 4 or Terminal 5 do I just cut a small length of wire and run it across from terminal 4 to terminal 5? My immersion tank does have just the one heater. I am just confused as to how to link the terminals safely.

Thanks in advance.

Just link them with a off cut of an inner core of the flex.

You could consider the 24hr or 7day Timeguard spur.

It has time control, advance and boost options, and simple replaces your current wall switch.
