Many thanks BA. Me tease! Never. Just been busy (in spite of what me old mate HandyPandy may think!).

Next week I have a house re-wire, new CU, new sockets, telephone points, and new light circuits to do, on my own  Sad I do hope the temperature drops coz its a bungalow and I will be in the roof space most of the time. So I may not be online much at all.

in the morning carefully top up other half
take another bottle with you
top it up ocasionaly with juice as you drink it

as long as you dont leave it somwhere to hot

Hey MANY thanks for the tip BA, that's a wonderful idea mate! I most certainly will do just that.

I dont actually start until Monday NEXT week so hope it may have cooled down by then.

Last year on the hotest day on record where was I working? In a soddin greenhouse believe it or not! And the week before that? In a loft, I lost nearly a stone in weight and drank 10 litres of water a day and spent all night at the loo!

Again a GREAT idea BA.

just make sure its no more than halve the neck

otherwise you get an ice plug

and if its fizzy juce you get the gas
fizzing through the plug

and when you thump it will the blunt end
of a wooden spoon you get a mini exposion
and a small shower of ice quite dramatic
but safe [ive been doing it for 15 years

if you want to avoid an ice plug
just raise the cap end by an inch
even if the bottle is full and freezes
solid they will come to no harm
but you cant drink it till it thaws out
quite a lot

oohh and a word off warning

only do it with plastic fizzy pop bottles

not glass or tins Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed
they will explode

Sheer genius BA, thanks. So let me see -

I buy a bottle of champage, give it a good shake,
stick it in the freezer for a week. Take it off to work with
me, give it another good shake at open it, is that it?  Grin

Nah, its quite a brilliant idea BA!

Better still is to freeze the botle then take the top off & poor it out.
The water freezes & stays in the bottle but the alchohol doesn't.
You get neat alchohol that way.
All the flavour stays with the booze.
Why do you think home winemakers like chest freezers?
It's possible to make a 'wine' out of a kilo bag in a gallon of unrefined sugar in a month.
Filtered then the frozen gives a bottle of rocket fuel. Wink
I took a bottle of this to a party once. It really needed more freezing as it was only half strength but had a nice taste.
The lady who threw the party loved the taste but thought it was a normal wine. She held onto the bottle all night. She had a date the next day but missed it. She slept through til the following night. hehe
She was certainly 'offline' Roll Eyes
