Vibrating De Walt Bandsaw (Read 3142 times)

ronti GDPR opt-out	Vibrating De Walt Bandsaw Nov 17^th, 2004, 8:33am I have recently purchased a De Walt DW 738 Bandsaw and it is suffering very badly with back to front vibration. I have it mounted on a very sturdy solid wood stand but cannot get rid of the vibration. Any ideas please?

No, seriously, it sounds as if something's out of line or twisted. If it were mine, I'd take it back, together with the board you've mounted it on, and demonstrate to the shop what the problem is. Ask em if you can swap it to try another. TT

as t t says somthing running out of true

dont know to much about band saws � Wink

but things to check
unplug[although it wont work with the pannel open]open the panel to gain accses to the wheels check the blade for correct tighness check wheels are not sloppy and running true [rotate gently by hand in direction of rotation]and just look in general that every thing looks ok
check the motor housing and gearing if easily accsesable are ok[not loose]

Dewy GDPR opt-out Total Thanks: 10 For This Post: 0	Re: Vibrating De Walt Bandsaw Reply #3 - Nov 17^th, 2004, 8:00pm I believe the DeWalt bandsaw has an aluminium table which doesn't help the vibration. Bandsaws with a cast iron table suffer a lot less vibration than the aluminium tables.

Mine came with a Steel Angle iron stand and that has to be levelled, the same as a washing machine to stop vibration. koolwabbit
