hi all HAPPY NEW YEAR

My cd/dvd internal rom driver seems to have gone pearshape Angry it will play cd/dvds but will not burn any sort of data Undecided  anyone got any ideas why?or is it a case take out the old &in with the new Undecided.

hi scruff no can do with driver as cd/dvd rom came built in processor i dont fancy rebooting master cd  Undecided as i have to much info to loose and can not backup to cd Angry

I got a freecom classic  DVD+/-RW double layer usb 2 remote recorder jobby from PC World. £ 100.

Stores up to 8.5 GB on one DVD.

Works with my three dvd players beutifully  just plug and play.

You should be able to update drivers regardless of having one CD for all drivers.

You will need writing software to be-able to write, people seem to call these the drivers  Roll Eyes

if you use XP try dragging files onto the drive and then writing a disc using XP's inbuilt software.

I have the discs for HP CD writer plus.

Startrek Real magic DVD/SVCD.

Freecom Classic DVD RW

Agama  and aa couple of others.

many thanks for all input on my rom ,had a friend come round today and after a lot testing ect on rom it is going to have to be a new rom Angry
