standard range of a bluetooth phone is 10 meters

PC dongle is 100 meters

any way of increasing this range?

just having a laugh at teh prospects of sending a file across the town lol

or sending random files to people across the road....

i know i could take the aerial off, but what to replace it with and where to site it? a sky satalite work or some other kind of aerial?

cheers

bluetooth is a bit wimpy in transmit power wi-fi is somewhat better suited to such things

as for high gain point-point antennas yes you can use a satalite dish but you will have to build your own feed horn (there are instructions online for doing this)

i got a bluetooth usb adapter  Grin

my phone connects, i can transfer data and then the connection goes  ???

different time spans and amounts of data Undecided

and then i have to log off(not restart) and then it reconnects fine (might not be the problem but deffo works the quickest) i think there must be some kind of software problem as clicking the icon on the bar says "device not found" but it does work :S

ive tryed re installing Roll Eyes

its a belkin usb adaptor class 2
with nokia 6230 and software

about 2 meters apart

just now it was connected for about an hour

the time before that about 2 minutes  ???

cheers
