Hi,
Difficult to say - is it just one particular light in one room? Does it happen randomly all over the house?
How often?
Usual causes are - poor or bad connection in the lighting circuit concerned. This could be at the CU, or the actual light fitting(s) or there may be a bad connection somewhere in a junction box.
The problem is also caused by the purchase and fitting of cheap 'supermarket' light bulbs which don't last 5 minutes!
One other thing might be a higher than normal mains supply voltage, which you'd have to measure with a meter.
We really need for info in order to give you better-infomred advice mate - sorry for the delay.

Unless you can spend the time really investigating the lighting circuit, or are prepared to pay a spark to do it, one simple solution is to NOT BUY GLS LAMPS, but Compact fluorescent lamps..so called energy saver lamps.

For comparison:

11w = ~40w GLS
15w = ~60w GLS
18w = ~90w GLS
22w = ~120w GLS
26w = ~140w GLS

Not only will these not blow all the time, you will reduce your electricity bill too Cheesy

Out of interest why would that cause more frequent bulb failure? I know bulb lifetime is effected by being switched on and off (eg thermal shock) but are you thinking that a bad connection might cause it to switch on and off? Wouldn't you notice it flicker?

"...but are you thinking that a bad connection might cause it to switch on and off? Wouldn't you notice it flicker?"

Not necessarily - lets say you have a bad connection in a loop-in lampholder in a downstairs room.  The light is on and everythings fine.
You go upstairs and walk across the floor of the room above, causing a slight vibration which is enough to initiate an intermittent contact inside the loop-in connection.
Flicker, flicker - POP! BUT you are upstairs when it happens and only when you go back down do you begin to wonder why the lamp's blown again.
