I've got a 4ft gap between my garage and kitchen and need to fit afire door/doors.
They dont sell a 4 ft fire doors so i bought a 8ft x 4ft fire panel from howdens to cut to size.Ive changed my mined as i dont think your allowed to cut fire doors plus im sure it will be to heavy. I'm looking to buy 2 fire doors to make a double door. The door frame already has the intumescent fire strip round the
edge .What i need to know where the 2 doors meet can i
use intumescent fire strip or do the doors have to be
rebated .I would prefer optoin 1.

Do you need the full width to open? Can't you build a wall to reduce the width of the opening to the width of a standard door? Perhaps use the panel you have to build the wall?
