Cutting a hole in soil pipe...

...I need to cut several holes in the plastic soil pipe for the bath and basin waste..do I use a normal hole cutter..ie the cup type with saw tooth and drill in the center..or is there a special tool?

Normal hole saw as you describe will do fine, make sure it fits the lip on the inside of your strap on boss thats assuming you are using one.

No the normal solvent weld is ok.
