I'm after a mini-PCI card though, probably just go for a Toshiba one, seem to be the norm for mini-PCI WLAN cards from what I've seen so far.
I can have it working if I'm about 2 metres from the AP, it drops out every few minutes though and enabling security makes it worse. Security on this b card only works on 64 bit, the PDA won't work on WiFi with any security enabled at all.
If I take the laptop upstairs it reports good-excellent signal strength and Windows retains it's DHCP assigned IP address, but won't do anything (ping, tracert etc..). Plugging in the wired network brings that interface up and the laptop picks up another IP address from the DHCP pool but everything still goes over the WiFi link so nothing works, the only way to get it to work is to disable the wireless network. It never used to do this.
Time for some new AP's as well I think, (and I'm also on the lookout for some rack mount server cases).
