A decent trowel that reachs right to the very bottom of internal walls .Just a thought from a carpenter that spends half his life chipping of all that excess plaster so I can   fit skirtings properly Grin

I've just had my extension plastered and the plasterer used a gadget I've not seen before to remove excess plaster from the bottom 100mm of the wall.  He just dragged it over the plaster with the gadget sat on the floor and it 'shaved' the plaster flat.

So simple yet so effective.

Robbo will know what this is called.

I normally really like the Marshaltown trowels but I bought a Marshaltown "Extra light" a while back and it rusts. I can watch it rusting while I'm using it  Angry, never seen anything as bad, must be very high carbon steel.

Worth avoiding.

Well they call it an 'angle plane'.  I've seen them called 'trimming planes' too.

Running this round the bottom of the plaster at floor level takes about ten seconds but saves much more than that for the guy fitting the skirtings.
