The threads keep jumping up and down. This seems to be caused by the message above the thread changing from one to two lines and back. Very annoying. Smiley

OK, on my screen, the message is single lined only.

Where do you propose we cut the line?  Anyone else finding this?

If you resize the your browser window so that the 'Welcome to att' message just fits across the window then the longer messages take up two lines and it does jump.

Solution - get a bigger monitor or glasses and stop using tiny windows.

It still jumps even with one line.

everytime you go to click on something it moves out of the way.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

needs a seperate box or something the same as the old forum

The welcome banner that fades is the larst part of the screen to load - hence why it drops.  It only drops once while it pop-ups.  (unless you have your screen resolution on a REALLY pore setting).

Lets take votes for keeping or removing the message fader??

Also, as the forum is based on graphics a fair amount, it does take a little while for the page to "settle" - this was a little un-forseen.  All other forums I have sorted run on a server which dishes the pages extremely quickly.  We run from a free server in SS's loft, and are limited by his internet connection upload speed.

I may be able to produce a selectable template in the profile which changes the image type buttons to text only.  This may sort the screen "settling" for some.

Just out of interest, how many people have altered the forum template to remove the index-images on the boards??  Go to profile, and click on options, then look to the bottom.

On the jumping about with the fader - another contributory factor is that the smilies are bigger than the text so when changing between lines that do and dont include a smilie it jumps a bit.
