Whilst I have sympathy with some of your ideals and too realise that we will eventually all too soon run out of tropical hardwoods. At this current point of time Accoya is too expensive to compete with hardwood, customers, the final arbiters of choice, will not choose it.

If you choose to swim against the tide then that is up to you, but just because we do not agree with you that in itself does not make us wrong. Optimism is a good thing but being blind to reality is not, ditch the white stick and take a long hard look at what you are trying to achieve. Make a practical plan to forward your goals, put it forward as a business case and bring in a large scale manufacturer, perhaps one of the big PVC companies who would see it as a chance to diversify.

As for being a lifestyle business, which sounds like an insult, most of my windows are for listed buildings which are bound to replace like for like, even so I am sure some of my customers would fit PVC if they could.

Good luck, you are going to need it!
