sparky415 Trade Member Offline Its more complicated than I first thought Posts: 679 Total Thanks: 0 For This Post: 0 Gender: Trade: Electrician	Open Office Aug 17^th, 2009, 9:29pm Any one out there use 'Open Office'? I have been trying to send my 'spread sheet' time sheets and Invoices to my 'new boss' He says he cant open them his end (dose he need some kind of patch?) I'm using Open Office He's got 'Word office' I thought they were compatible

Open Office has a "save as" function.
If you click on file (top left hand corner),
then scroll down to "save as",
then choose a name for your file,
in the same box should be a drop down menu which gives you the option to save as a Word (couple of different versions), text, open office, template etc, choose the version of Word that applies and it will save it as a .doc or .docx file (depending on which version you selected).
