Very interesting, of course if we all have oak windows we will have an oak shortage pdq.

Not sure if people will be too happy either because oak looks bad when it first gets wet, black marks everywhere and tanin runs out and stains the surounding brickwork, bloody awful stuff Grin

Ah, but if you're saving the planet...!!!

The image shown is of an oak sliding sash. Given untreated oak's propensity to warp...!!!!!
