British Gas / DSC Alarm
Apr 2nd, 2011, 7:13pm

Hi

I have a customer who is having problems with the British Gas branded DSC Alarm in her house. It is the wired version not the wireless.

The battery was knackered and split so I replaced that but now the code wont work. I have tried the usual default codes 0123 - 1234 - 9999 to no avail.

Does anyone have any info or engineers manuals for this system?

any help much appreciated.

Cheers

http://www.dsc.com/index.php?n=library

appears to have the manuals but looks like you have to register.

Google suggests trying 5555 or 5550 or the model number of the panel...

http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=179412

or..

"the way in which to deactivate it and get it to allow you to arm the system is if you type in *84337## and that should allow you to arm the system and use it as normal"

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Home-and-Garden/Question577571.html

Elsewhere it says if BG have locked out the panel you have to pay around £85 to get them to unlock it or buy new panel.
