Mitre saws

Let me begin by saying this is NOT a windup but a serious question. It may be elementary to you but I am baffled.
Could someone please explain to me the difference between the following,

1.  Mitre saw
2.   Compound mitre saw
3.   Bevel mitre saw
4.   Double bevel mitre saw
5   Crosscut compound mitre saw.

1.will cut in one plane only usually 45 deg each way side to side

2. as above but blade also tilts to the side to give compound angles

3. another name for 1.

4. another name for 2.

5. as 2 but the blade can be pulled towards you to give a longer cut, useful for tall skirtings etc.

1. the saw can be moved to make a known angle between the blade and the fence.
2. The saw can be angled from the vertical as well as in relation to the fence.
3. The same as 2
4. The saw can be angled either side of vertical instead of just to one side for sawing bevel cuts.
5. The same as 2 but with a sliding crosscut action enabling wider cuts.
