3 spurs together
Feb 12th, 2005, 10:01pm

hi lads can anyone see a problem with wiring three fused spurs together my problem is as follows. there is no spare ways in the board apart from 1, i have 3 internal aircon units to wire all drawing short of 5 amp each on startup ,so i plan to use 2.5 t&e with a 16amp mcb type c and five amp fuses in the 3 switched spurs.
i no i could fit a suplementory consumer unit but i dont see any probs in doing it the other way apart from if the 16 amp mcb trips all aircon units are going to go off but that the only down fall i see please give me your comments

            thanks in advance supra

sounds ok but keep an eye on the earth fault loop if using C16 breakers with 2.5mm cable especially if your Ze is near the high end of the acceptable range and/or your run is long.

C16 with 2.5mm cable, you should have no problems, don't go too far with you're cable though  Roll Eyes
