Oh, without a doubt. I believe a mass mailshot is planned for the end of March (I forget where I heard that). But, of course, it will be just like those "How to Deal With Terrorist Attacks leaflets that sit, unopened, gathering dust.

someone told me there was going to be adverts with people getting shocks and things, shock tactics, like the drinking and driving ads at xmas, sound's lame to me..

I had a letter from npower today about part p.
For an extra £1.99 a month customers will have insurance for electrical repair work to comply with part p.

Does that mean you can sign up and they'll sort the house out for £1.99 per month? Or do you have to pay them £300 for a PIR first, then whatever for the remedials, then if you're a good boy they'll consider taking you into their scam...... which provides?? How do you insure for work that won't have been done yet? If you get a non-reg spark in to do something later and you claim to sort out the Regs issue, surely they'll shaft you for not getting it done properly in the first place?

Smell of frying fish when you opened the envelope?

Seems like there's more cowboy activity because of Part P than if it hadn't been introduced. But the cowboys are the test kit manufacturers and the insurance companies.

That sounds like a complete con. You don't have to notify for repairs, replacements & maintenance. Even in kitchens, bathrooms and outside.
