You do not need to use your talk talk password or user ID on the laptop or the PC - The router has this info, and the router keeps itself connected to the internet ready for you.
You need to ensure your TCP/IP settings are correct on the PC for it to be able to connect to the router, and then the internet.
Goto START>RUN
Type "CMD" and press return
When the large'ish' black box appears, type "ipconfig" followed by return.
copy and paste the text that is printed (right click and use 'mark').
or CTRL and printscreen, and then paste the screenshop into paint, save it, and then post it here using
www.tinypic.com.
This assumes XP, if it is vista, just type "CMD" into the 'search' box after clicking the START button.
