I don't like textured surfaces, makes repairs and maintenance a pain in the jacksie.

I'm with you there Zam, perhaps the question should have been "list four places suitable for texturing"

I'm with you on that,  have just moved house & have started the refurb plan. First room, bathroom, artexed ceiling: Scraped & skimmed, looks proper now. EVERY room wil lget this treatment, which is a pain 'cos it makes a chuffing mess, not so bad in the bathroom as I gutted it anyhow, but the lounge will be fun as the carpet is staying!
I'm gonna get one of those long handled floor scrapers from Wickes for about a tenner for the other ceilings, I'll let you all know how I get on with it.

Raspberry Jelly, My wife's posterior, grass, my Merc's rear tyres.
What was the reason for the question anyhow? Normally people want to know the best way to remove it or cover it up (understandably).
